CHARLOTTE – Mrs. Janet Lynn Lester, 57, died Monday, December 28, 2015 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House, Southminster.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Christ Resurrection Church at 1:00pm, 4527 Freedom Drive in Charlotte. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church. The family will host a reception at the church, immediately following the interment.

Mrs. Lester was born March 20, 1958 in Wyoming County, WV and was the daughter of the late Glen B. Morgan, Sr. and Katherine Morgan Jessie of Brenton, WV. In addition to her father, Janet was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Morgan.

Janet was a special, one of a kind lady that took care of her family and everyone around her.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Sampy, of the home; son, Matt Lester and daughter, Angie Lester, both of Charlotte; brothers, Paul Morgan and wife, Kyong-Hui of Haymarket, VA, Glen “Henry” Morgan and wife, Karen of Yadkinville, NC and John P. Morgan and wife, Missy of Coal Mountain, WV; and her “granddogs”, Duke and Boss.

Janet was loved by a host of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, co-workers and family friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Levine and Dickson Hospice House, Southminster, 8919 Park Road, Suite 1000, Charlotte, NC 28210 or to The American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Road, Charlotte, NC 28210-2255.
